UCPRUK is looking for a multi-talented, passionate, creative and reliable person with an interest in NGO work to join their team as a Marketing, Design and Online Content Officer. The position will originally support a big annual event being undertaken by UCPRUK until the end of September, however there is the chance of the position becoming permanent dependent on performance and organizational need. The specific tasks for the short-term role will be to: - Support the specific event through design and maintenance of all related marketing and communication requirements; - Track media coverage, website analytics, Google, and social media analytics; - Submit a final report to UCPRUK following the event, containing recommendations and a plan for the following year�s event; - Design and submit a marketing, design and communications plan for the overall organization, including a marketing calendar and donor database ideas. A long-term role could include: - Creating, maintaining and improving website content; - Managing existing and creating new organizational social media presence; - Creating and updating promotional material as required; - Create and manage content for e-blasts and newsletters; - Formatting and editing organizational documents and other items (letters, invites, stationary); - Engage in current fundraising initiatives, providing a variety or support organizing and promoting events; - Create and maintain a marketing calendar and a donor/supporter database; - Formulate, market and implement a range of new activities with a mind to engaging possible local, national and international funders; - Take and edit photos for a variety of organizational needs; - Work closely with USA head-office on cross-promotional marketing and funding opportunities. Desirables: - Comfortable speaking and writing in English; - Previous work or volunteer work in an NGO setting; - Photography/filming ability; - Strong writing skills and previous experience in proposal writing; - A strong network of contacts in the Yogyakarta/Indonesia business environment; - Previous work experience with people with disabilities. - A degree in or experience in design, technology, communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism; - Basic HTML or Expression Engine experience; - Understanding and experience with Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator ; - A friendly, compassionate and flexible person with a go-getter attitude, not afraid to engage with a variety of stakeholders; - A keen eye for detail and self-pride in your work; - Able to meet the requirements and deadlines in the INGO world; - Skills editing documents and creating promotion material; - Ability to create/edit web content using UCPRUK platform; - A strong understanding of social media and the benefits that can be obtained through effective use; - Previous work on/management of fundraising activities; - Understanding of photo/video editing tools and how to use them; - A strong sense of community involvement and an understanding of the situation for people with disabilities living in Indonesia.
